At the time of the Hicksite Separation of 1827, the monthly meeting split into Hicksite and Orthodox branches. Bucks Quarterly Meeting was established by Philadelphia Yearly Meeting in 1683. The first business sessions were held in 1684. After the Separation of 1827, there were two Bucks Quarterly Meetings. In 1898, Bucks Quarterly Meeting (Orthodox) was laid down and its members attached to Burlington Quarterly Meeting, renamed Burlington and Bucks Quarterly Meeting.
